The first detail to be noticed at the Beneteau Oceanis 50 Family is the fixed arch that holds the mainsail sheet. This solution enabled Beneteau designers to create a wide and effective companionway as well as a spacious cockpit below it.
The deck appears very clean and offers plenty of sunbathing and moving area thanks to low-profile deckhouse. The beam at the transom is massive – the hull tapers only slightly from the point of maximum beam.
The long waterline helps create massive internal volume. The five cabin layout is equipped with two double cabins in the aft, two in the bow and the additional cabin, just after the galley. This additional cabin can be used for skipper and the luggage or for two smaller kids who can sleep in bunk beds.
Berret Racoupeau have done the naval architecture and Nauta Design the interior styling for the Beneteau Oceanis 50.
